Authors purpose
what is the authors purpose for writing? how do you know?
The authors purpose for writing this chapter is that as long as one person who has the key many will follow and will follow his decisions and orders.
In this chapter ralph and piggy and the rest of his crew go to castle rock, going to there ralph is soon kicked out and he has two major brawls with jack and by the help of jack followers roger throws down his followers hoping to hit ralph but misses and hit piggy killing him. Since jack had piggys glasses many followed him for food and fire leaving Ralph and his assembly out of the picture till eventually some left becuase of there last hope left.
Roger kills Piggy "High overhead, Roger, with a sense of delirious abandonment, leaned all his weight on the lever" pg 180 this text show that roger apart of jacks tribe and following under jack levers a boulder and eventually kills piggy
